The Designer Seashells grew out of requests from people at shows for a pattern for the long panel, 40” x 13” that we have been showing as an alternative layout at shows. Then Paul suggested that I add beads to it, which I did during one weekend at a show. I wouldn’t recommend adding the beads after the quilt is completed.  It was really hard on my thumbs to pull the needle through the fabric and try to keep the back neat.  Instead I would advise you to bead through the top and the batting, using the batting as a stabilizer, then add the backing and quilting.

In the Designer Seashells pattern I have added instructions for the beading and details on the drawings where I added the beads. This is not intensely beaded.  That would make it a good project for a beginner.

We have added color detail photos of sections of this quilt in both the printed version and the PDF version.

If you choose to buy the PDF file format for this pattern, after we have charged your credit card or received payment via check or Paypal, we upload it to a service which sends you (and us) an email to download it at their location within seven days.  Then you can print it out.  This saves postage and is faster than snail mail delivery. 

PDF-format patterns are NOT available to our wholesalers.  Wholesalers need to order printed patterns instead.
