This PDF pattern was created as a variation of the Woolly Sheep pattern. You don't have to use sheep.  Any critter theme would work as well.  Use your own vision vision and a bit of adventurous spirit, on any of our pattern themes as a stating place to making a wild and crazy quilt. There is no paper pattern because it is so large.

 This quilt just won Best Innovative Quilt award at the Road to CA show, 1/13/2010, and Best Hand Workmansip, and Viewers Choice award at the Tri-State (NJ, NY and PA) Quilt Show in Somerset, NJ, on March 6, 2010. 

 On August 19, 2010 it won Best hand Workmanship - Innovative at the 2010 World Quilt Competition in Manchester NH.  The quilt is now on tour at the other World Quit shows: In Oaks, PA, in Santa Clara, CA, and West Palm Beach, FL.

You don't have to use the Woolly Sheep pattern in this class.  Any Critter Pattern Works pattern will work as well and it is a requirement (to use a CPW pattern)to take the class at Road to CA or Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival. 

This is the next pattern to come out.  It isn't finished yet but I am posting it here to show you how it is coming along.  The idea that I am basing the theme on is this: everybody wants to be a sheep.  That means I can add any critter that suits my fancy.  There is no pattern to buy yet.  My goal is to finish the quilt in September 2010.  Sign up for our newsletter on our home page if you want to know when this pattern is available.

Six Domedary Camels with back packs and saddles to stitch with satin stitching and raw edge applique. You can embellish them with seed beads and other kinds of small beads.

There are two Dragonflies drawings with 5 wildflowers to bead or embroider: Dandelion (yellow and puff ball), Queen Anne's Lace, Thistle, and Wild Rose.  The quilt in the photograph measures 22 1/2" square.

The Designer Seashells grew out of requests from people at shows for a pattern for the long panel, 40” x 13” that we have been showing as an alternative layout at shows. This would make it a good project for a beginner who wants to learn how to embellish with beads.

There are 18 full sized drawings of llamas and alpacas, with instructions for raw edge appliqué, machine quilting, binding the quilt, and signing your name freehand on the sewing machine. You can arrange the critters any way you like, such as in a single scene or rearrange the blocks.

This pattern is great for beginners. There are only five ladybugs so the pattern is do-able in a short amount of time. The quilt measures 10 1/2" x 37".

There are four squirrels and two different oak leaves and two acorns for accent.  The techniques used are satin stitching and raw edge applique.  All our patterns explain how to sign your name on the sewing machine and how to quilt and sew on the binding.

This is a small appliqué pattern with lots of details and embellishment for a special time of the year.  The pattern includes full (stand alone) patterns for all the critters and all the people in case you want to make your own arrangement. There are three camels, with blankets and saddles and bridles, a donkey, two sheep, a cow, and seven figures including Baby Jesus in his manger, and the stable and four palm trees.

Five birds that could be on any farm: Rooster, Peasant, Peacock, Turkey and Guinea Hen. You could combine these critters to make a larger quilt with Farmyard Friends, or Fancy Fowl 1.

Sixteen horses! A quilt to melt any young girl's heart.  The techniques used are satin stitching and raw edge applique. 

Sixteen pampered pooches are included in the pattern for raw edge machine applique.  There are complete instructions for all the sewing techniques and full sized drawings.
