Twenty-six funky letters and their corresponding realistic animal counterparts!

A great collection of 25 critters from Down Under.

Drawings of 10 bears, five polar bears and five other bears: grizzlies, brown bears, sun bear, and one sockeye salmon.

There are twelve drawings of Big Cats and twenty two small cats galloping around the border.

Appliqué twigs and leaves and 15 common North American birds and flowers.

Eight butterflies, some featuring reverse applique, and three flowers: iris, daisy, and filler.

Six Domedary Camels with back packs and saddles to stitch with satin stitching and raw edge applique. You can embellish them with seed beads and other kinds of small beads.

The quilt with all twelve Carousel Critters measures 45" x 59". It could be expanded into a bed size quilt by adding borders.

Fifteen different cat faces in 7 1/2" blocks. This pattern includes gold lamé for the eyes.

Five cats (all different from Too Many Cats and/or Too Many Cats II, but of a similar size), a fish, a barn swallow, and a butterfly.

There are 14 drawings of cows and calves in this pattern. You can make your own arrangement, either in block formation, or in a scene.

You don't have to use the Woolly Sheep pattern in this class.  Any Critter Pattern Works pattern will work as well and it is a requirement (to use a CPW pattern)to take the class at Road to CA or Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival. 

There are six crustaceans in this pattern:  a shrimp, a rock lobster, and Maine lobster, a horseshoe crab, a crab, and a hermit crab.  The backgrounds are crazy quilt style which is explained in the pattern.  I hand embroidered the crazy quilt stitches with pearl cotton and embellished with beads all the corals and some of the crustaceans.

There are two Dragonflies drawings with 5 wildflowers to bead or embroider: Dandelion (yellow and puff ball), Queen Anne's Lace, Thistle, and Wild Rose.  The quilt in the photograph measures 22 1/2" square.

This  pattern is for raw edge applique and beginning bead and embroidery embellishment.  Included in the pattern are full sized drawings of a lizard (he is about 7" long x 6" wide), three butterflies (one for a beginner beader), a wren, a dragonfly, and a snail for raw edge machine appliqué and hand beading in the pattern. Not all designs in the pattern were used on this quilt. I just wanted you to have enough to play with to make your quilt unique.

There are nine Seahorses and a Sea Dragon with coral and seaweed. The technique for appliqué is raw edge stitching (straight stitching using a darning foot) and the embellishment, if you care to add it, is hand embroidery using feather stitch and chain stitch for the seaweeds, and two methods of hand beading. The instructions include directions for machine quilting and putting on the sleeve and binding, and signing your name in free hand stitching.

The Designer Seashells grew out of requests from people at shows for a pattern for the long panel, 40” x 13” that we have been showing as an alternative layout at shows. This would make it a good project for a beginner.

In this pattern resides five English dragons, Merlin, a griffin and a unicorn. There is also a castle, a piece of gold lame fabric to make stars and lightning. We used glass multi-faceted antique buttons (that we found at a flea market) to represent crystals that two of the dragons, the griffin, and Merlin hold. There are many 3-D details in this quilt.

Eight full sized eagle drawings. You can use them individually, or in a group. This would make a great gift for someone in the military or an Eagle Scout.

A small herd of eight elephants, each having 3-D ears and faces (using UltraSuede® or felt), a tree and a modular underbrush pattern to make up a unique scene. Instructions for making cording to use as tails are included.

Twenty five exotic birds including parrots, toucan, quetzal, parakeets, cockatoo, and anhinga sitting in a tree with branches you can arrange.

This pattern includes 16 drawings for machine applique with two chicks and an egg.  There is also a pattern and instructions for paper piecing the triangle shapes that were used for filler blocks.  The quilt pictured measures 41" x 48".

Five birds that could be on any farm: Rooster, Peasant, Peacock, Turkey and Guinea Hen. You could combine these critters to make a larger quilt with Farmyard Friends, or Fancy Fowl 1.
