This is a small appliqué pattern with lots of details and embellishment for a special time of the year. 

Five birds that could be on any farm: Rooster, Pheasant, Peacock, Turkey and Guinea Hen. You could combine these critters to make a larger quilt with Farmyard Friends, or Fancy Fowl 1.

Sixteen horses! A quilt to melt any young girl's heart.  The techniques used are satin stitching and raw edge applique. 

Sixteen pampered pooches are included in the pattern for raw edge machine applique.  There are complete instructions for all the sewing techniques and full sized drawings. 

Ten fluffy felines for raw edge applique on crazy quilt blocks.

Finished Seahorse 5¾” x 1 ¾” worked with #8 pearl cotton.

The crab measures 7 ¾” x 4 ½”  worked with an assortment of floss threads in different depths, with some of the loops cut for a different texture.

The sheep is 4” x 3 ¾” and is worked with #8 hand dyed #8 pearl cotton.

This is only a pattern.  You will need thread and fabric to complete this project. The zebra was stitched in black and ecru #8 DMC pearl cotton.  The tail has longer loops, which were cut.

The fish is 5 1/2" long, worked in #8 hand dyed pearl cotton. 

The Butterfly measures 4 ¾” x 4 ¼” and is worked with hand dyed #8 pearl cotton.

This is only a pattern. You will need thread and and 8 1/5 x 11" piece of weavers cloth to complete this project. With a piece of freezer paper ironed on the back of the weavers cloth, you can scan the design and print the fabric, saving the tedium of tracing.

The Sand Dollar design is just over 4" round and is worked on khaki weavers cloth.  

The lizard design measures 5" high x 7" wide, punched entirely with 3 strands of floss and at all the same level.

The cat design is 3 ¼" high and 6" wide.

The eyes of this cat are straight stitch (hand embroidery) in rayon aqua colored floss.  The rest of the cat is many colors and color combinations of 3 strands of floss in a short punch needle stitch.  The tail is made with longer loops, which can be cut or left loop-y.

Look at the subtle differences you can achieve with if you choose different of browns and rusts and beiges.

The Chicken design measures 6 1/4" x 4 1/2". The variagated thread is Valdani pearl cotton #12, the main color is ecru #12 pearl cotton from DMC, the comb and waddle are DMC floss. The tail is longer loops which have been clipped.

The Teddy Bear design measures 4 3/4" x 3 1/2".  Learn how to sculpt the pearl cotton loops to make your teddy bear to look 3-D.

The moose design measures 6” x 6 ", worked with three strand of floss.

There are 17 cats and kittens, and 21 friends such as birds, fish, mice and butterflies in this pattern, which includes gold lamé for the eyes of the cats.

Thirty fish, two kinds of jelly fish, many corals, octopus, sponges, a sea horse and a turtle. The instructions for this pattern explain how to add 3-D effects, in addition to the basic directions. Silver lamé is included for the eyes and some small fish.
